Bupropion is an antidepressant medication. Bupropion is used to treat major depressive disorder and seasonal affective disorder. At least one brand of bupropion (Zyban) is used to help people stop smoking by reducing cravings and other withdrawal effects

• nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, constipation;
• sleep problems (insomnia);
• tremors, sweating, feeling anxious or nervous;
• fast heartbeats;
• confusion, agitation, hostility;
• rash;
• weight loss;
• increased urination;
• headache, dizziness; or
• muscle or joint pain.
Zyban should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Do not change your dose or stop using this medicine suddenly.
Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush, chew or break it.
