I was 16 when I was diagnosed with CML. I’ve been on this med since then, and it has never failed me. Apart from mild joint pain and fatigue, no major side effects for me. Quite effective!

I was in one of the first studies on Gleevec. It has been a lifesaver. Some side effects but it is better than being dead. I have been on 300 mg all these years.

I have been treated for 4 years, I had been taking Gleevec 100mg. I am in remission and doing well. I am doing great, being able to take hikes, walk the dog and enjoy with family and friends. I feel lucky that I was prescribed this medication.
